BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Friday night was Hope Night at the Biloxi Shuckers game, with proceeds from the game going to support Hope Squads and mental health organizations.

Jackson County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Paige Roberts threw out the first pitch for the game against the Chattanooga Lookouts at Keesler Federal Park.

Roberts has been instrumental in implementing Hope Squads in school districts across South Mississippi.

“Our emotional well-being is so important,” said Roberts.

“What we’re trying to do is help people cope better, resolve conflict in a healthy fashion, and build resiliency. All the things that go with us feeling well and good.”
